Solid Disc - Z Range

The Goodwin solid disc design, the Z range, is the standard closure member design for sizes 1” to 10” in pressure classes ANSI 150# to ANSI 2500# and is available in 3 face-to-face lengths:

Type ZB: Goodwin Standard Long
Type ZD: In accordance with API 6D

Solid disc design (1” – 10”) allows for a streamlined flow path around the disc and high pressure recovery, minimising pressure drop across the valve. This highly efficient design combined with the highly responsive non-slam operation make this valve ideally suited to demanding check valve applications.

The Z range is suitable for all fluids subject to correct material selection and all installation positions.
