The last decade has been seen Goodwin become a major supplier to the global LNG industry being the successful check valve supplier to a number of the world’s most prestigious LNG export projects as well as many LNG ships and receiving terminals. The vast majority of valves are of 316 Stainless Steel construction for use in Liquefied Natural Gas at - 161ºC. These valves are usually accompanied by a large number of Low Temperature Carbon Steel (LTCS) valves in low temperature service applications.

Goodwin has 25 years of in-house cryogenic testing experence. Completion early in 2001 of a new high pressure cryogenic test facility enables Goodwin to test valves as large as 72” at temperatures down to – 196ºC and pressures to 3600 PSI.
