Goodwin International Limited, world renowned for and the market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of Dual Plate Check Valves for use in the world`s hydrocarbon, energy and process industries, in 2007 added the Goodwin Axial Check Valve to its range of check valve solutions.
Goodwin Steel Castings specialises in producing high integrity, pressure vessel castings from a few kilos to 18,000 kg in weight in all materials.
The company's operators for all forms of Non-Destructive Testing are qualified to ASNT Level 2 or PCN Level 2. .
Valve design is carried out using 3D CAD and is verified on computers using ANSYS finite element analysis and Flow Simulation programmes.
Goodwin International has a fully equipped machine shop covering some 14,100 m2 with 36 modern CNC machine tools.
All valves are hydrostatically tested (Shell and Seat) to API 598 as standard. Other extensive in-house testing and laboratory facilities are available.
In-house Cryogenic Testing (-196oC) and low temperature (-50oC) testing in accordance with Shell's MESC SPE 77/200 specification or like procedure.
In-house high pressure gas test facility upto size 72" to pressures of 20000 psig / 1380barg.
Materials purchased on a global basis from a small number of foundries and forges based on long term association. Goodwin has full-time in-country employees for continuous auditing.
In-house painting capability to meet customer specifications ranging from single coat systems to typical multi-coat epoxy and polyurethane systems for offshore environments.
Metal Proving Services can machine a standard ASTM tensile specimen and three ASTM charpy impact specimens using the Mazak 5-axis machining centre.

Traceability is the core of all Goodwin's quality systems. Every valve manufactured is traceable to source of material, NDE, pressure test and other test results unique to each individual valve. Our policy is that every valve is tested to contractual and API requirements NOT sample testing of randomly selected valves. This traceability policy is endemic to every employee involved in the manufacturing cycle of the valve.
